Payment Redirects
Payment Redirects allow you to automatically send respondents to a specific page after a successful payment.
This is useful when you want to guide customers to a thank-you page, onboarding flow, booking page, digital download, membership portal, or any other destination after checkout.
Payment Redirects only occur after a successful payment has been completed and verified.
How Payment Redirects Work
When a respondent submits a payment form:
- The payment is processed through Stripe.
- The payment is successfully confirmed.
- The form submission is recorded.
- QuipForm redirects the respondent to your chosen URL.
This creates a seamless post-purchase experience and helps automate next steps.

Thank You Page vs Redirect
QuipForm supports both Thank You Pages and Redirects.
| Option | Best For | | -------------- | ------------------------------------------------ | | Thank You Page | Displaying confirmation messages inside the form | | Redirect | Sending users to another website or page |
Choose the option that best fits your workflow.
Use a Thank You Page When
- You want to display a simple confirmation.
- Additional navigation isn't required.
- Respondents can remain within the form experience.
Use a Redirect When
- Customers need access to another system.
- You want to continue the onboarding flow.
- Downloads or resources are hosted elsewhere.
Many businesses redirect users to a dedicated onboarding or confirmation page immediately after payment.
Best Practices
Clearly Explain What Happens Next
Before payment, let respondents know where they'll be redirected.
Use Dedicated Confirmation Pages
A custom thank-you page often creates a more professional experience than sending users directly to a homepage.
Test the Entire Flow
Always verify:
- Payment succeeds
- Submission is recorded
- Redirect works correctly
- Destination page loads properly
Optimize for Mobile
Ensure redirect destinations are mobile-friendly and easy to navigate.
Troubleshooting
Redirect Is Not Working
Verify:
- The redirect URL is valid.
- The URL includes
https://. - Redirect settings have been saved.
Respondents Stay on the Form
Check:
- The payment completed successfully.
- The submission was recorded.
- Redirect settings are enabled.
Destination Page Returns an Error
Review the destination URL and confirm the page is publicly accessible.
Customers Report Confusion After Payment
Consider adding a confirmation message before redirecting or using a dedicated thank-you page.
Always test your payment flow in Stripe test mode before accepting live transactions.
